Safeguarding Statement

At North Featherstone Junior & Infant School, the safety and wellbeing of our children is our highest priority. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and we expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.
We provide a safe, caring and positive environment in which children can learn and thrive. We recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we take our duty of care seriously.
Our school follows safer recruitment practices and ensures that all staff and volunteers are appropriately checked and trained in safeguarding and child protection procedures. We work closely with parents, carers and external agencies to ensure that pupils receive the right support at the right time.
If you have any concerns about the welfare or safety of a child, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL):
Our safeguarding and child protection policies are reviewed regularly and are available on the school website.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact Children’s Social Care or call 999.
