Please can you make sure that you write your child's name in all of their belongings. We have a number of cardigans left in the classroom but have no idea whose they are as they have no names in . Thank you for your support in this matter!
For the remainder of this half term, up until Christmas, we will be doing indoor PE every Tuesday so please could you ensure that your child has the appropriate PE kit in school for this. Thank you!
Ash class are part of Foundation stage and Key Stage 1. Our teachers are Miss Clapison (Monday to Wednesday) and Mrs Jaggar (Wednesday to Friday) however we have other staff working alongside us. In our class you will also find, Mrs Cartwright our nursery nurse and Miss King.
Our class is a fun place to learn and have fun. Please visit this page to find out the things we have been learning and other useful information about our class.
Merry Christmas Everyone !!!!!
Some of the children in Ash class have made Christmas e-cards. Click on the Christmas Card file that you would like to watch (below). Each file takes you to the e-cards some of the children in Ash class created as part of the computing topic this term. We hope you enjoy the unique animations each card contains.
In Ash class we believe in taking the time to develop each child's social and emotional well- being. This term we have been taking part in lots of role play activities to improve our communication and language skills and to help us to re-tell stories.
We have also used Role Play to tackle issues such as bullying and making relationships.
Autumn 2: Remembrance Day
To commemorate Remembrance Day, the children made remembrance cards and poppies.
We talked about the day and why it is significant. We also had a minute's silence! (which was a miracle)
Autumn 1: Art in Nature
This half term, we have been learning about the artist, Andy Goldsworthy, who uses natural materials to create his artwork. The children had fun exploring the natural resources and then creating their own pieces of art, using his work as an inspiration. I think you'll agree, they look fantastic!
Computing and E-safety
This term our class will be researching and making e-cards. We will learn about different child friendly search engines and learn how to use the internet safely. We will learn who can help us if something unusual happens when we are using the internet and how to keep our personal information private eg; passwords, logging on details.
Thank you to all the parents that attended parents evening, it was great to meet you all and have a chat about your child's progress.
