Fabulous Art Work
Over the past term Birch Class have been studying Hokusai's 'The Wave'.
We have looked at lots of different techniques and media to help reproduce an image of a wave. Here are some of our pictures
As part of our work on being British and St George's Day we took part in a Morris Dancing workshop. It was great fun and the music was fantastic! Everyone was tapping their toes!
(Media will continue converting in the background)
Here is our homework grid for this term. There are a wide variety of activities there for you to choose from.
Remember that you should also be reading, learning your spelling and practising your times tables.
We have had a 'Volcano Off'! We set off all of the fantastic volcanoes Birch class made for homework. Some were more successful than others but it was great fun.
In Design Technology we researched, designed and built models of earthquake proof buildings. You can see the first stage below.
We were finding out how we could reinforce a structure using cross-bracing.
A Fair Class
Birch had a class competition to design a poster about being a 'fair' classroom.
The winner was Vinny Smith and his winning design is on display in our classroom
Tour de Yorkshire
As part of our work on the Tour de Yorkshire we took part in a Cyclo-cross session with Forest Schools.
It was great fun and exhausting!!
Everyone who took part in the races tried their very best.
